Makes 6 eggs. Vegetarian, Gluten-Free
- 6 farm fresh eggs
- 1 bottle Organic Beet Kvass
Let eggs come to room temperature. In a medium pot, cover the eggs with cold water and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. When water starts to simmer, reduce heat and allow eggs to cook for 6 minutes. Remove to ice water and let cool for 10 minutes.
Drain the eggs, cover with cold water and let sit until cool, about 20 minutes. Peel eggs and place in a bowl, submerged in Organic Beet Kvass. Soak eggs in Kvass for at least 3 hours under refrigeration, or overnight for a deeper and more pervasive color. Slice and enjoy on salads or toast – or better yet, use these eggs for a surprising twist in your favorite deviled egg recipe!
